Predictions
Back an outcome with coins. Whoever is right splits the pool.
Before you make a prediction
Please read this. Placing a prediction spends real coins from your balance.
You predict with coins you earned
There are no deposits on PrizeBear and there is no way
to buy coins. Every coin in your balance came from completing offers and site
rewards. You cannot add money to your account, and you never will be asked to.
Everyone's coins go into one pool
Coins staked on every outcome are pooled together. We take a
5% fee from that pool.
Whoever backed the correct outcome splits what remains, in proportion to how
much they staked. You are playing against the other players, not against us.
Your payout is not fixed when you place it
The figure shown when you bet is an estimate based on the pool at that moment. It moves as more coins come in and is only final when the market closes. More coins on your side means a smaller share each; more on the other side means a bigger one.
If you are wrong, your coins are gone
Staked coins leave your balance immediately and are not returned if your prediction loses. Those coins have real cash value and you could otherwise have withdrawn them. Only stake what you are comfortable losing.
When you get everything back
If a market is cancelled, or if nobody backed the winning outcome, every stake is refunded in full and we take no fee.
How results are decided
Markets are settled by us after the event, based on the official published result. You must be 18 or over to take part.
